20 Rules of Life
As we grow physically, so does our mind, our way of thinking. We start to think in the abstract. We form new ideas, consider many points of view, think deeply into processes. We begin to think with a focus. And as we go through life experiences, we learn. And we keep on learning. We are getting mature in mind, body, and spirit. We develop our own rules on how to live our lives. And as with everything in life, our rules change based on our life experiences.
These rules are personal and helpful as guiding principles on how to deal with day to day living. Here are the 20 rules that guide how I live my life.
20 Rules of Life
1. Follow the Golden Rule: Do unto others what you want others to do unto you.
2. Leave the past behind. What’s done is done. Don’t linger. Move on.
3. Smile and laugh. Every day comes a new day-another chance.
4. Be kind. Other people are dealing with life and doing their best as you are.
5. Be kind to yourself. You are doing the best you can with what you have right now.
6. Keep learning and striving to be better than yesterday. Have self-confidence. Be positive.
7. Forgive yourself. Forgive others and let go.
8. When things are not working as you plan to. Take a step back, breathe, and recalculate.
9. Don’t care too much what others think. Live your own life.
10. TIme heals. Give yourself time. Let time do its work. Don’t expect immediate results. Be patient!
11. Do not compare yourself to others. You are unique. You’re a totality of years of experiences, people, and time.
12. Stop overthinking. You cannot know all the answers. You will know the best answers when you are in the midst of it all. So take action.
13. Don’t worry about things you cannot control. Just be prepared. Do your best.
14. Don’t give up after the first failure. Try, try, and try again.
15. Explore new opportunities. Take calculated risks.
16. It’s all in the mind. Perspective is key.
17. Prioritize. Know your why. Be responsible. Be accountable.
18. Have a notebook. Take notes.
19. Exercise 5 minutes 4 x/day or 20 minutes a day.
20. Meditate and Eat Healthily.
We Age, We Mature, We Evolve
As we age in body and mind, the years bring maturity and intelligence. We form our own rules on how to do certain things and how to react to certain situations.
We make decisions on what to do when confronted with one circumstance over the other. We develop rules for engagement. We evolve.
How about you? Do you have your own rules in life?

I’m having trouble finding one?
Thanks a lot!
