20 Reasons Why Note Taking Is Important

I like to write everything down. I love those sticky notes and those small notepads. I have them everywhere. I start my day by looking at my planner and the notes I wrote down: a set to do things that I have identified and listed the day before.

If I do not have a prewritten plan, I will get up in the morning with no direction. No guide as to what to do first, what to do next. My time is wasted doing frivolous tasks. I am disorganized. I get overwhelmed and irritated quickly. I worry I stress, I get discouraged. At the end of the day, I feel low, disappointed, and start questioning myself.

So to prevent all this, I write everything. From an idea to a thought. A quote that I read somewhere that has made an impact on me at that very moment. A statement that somebody may have said that I like. It may be from a conversation, a book I’m reading, or a post from Facebook, Instagram, or Pinterest. Note-taking enables me to capture those snippets of time.
